Therapy - Our Approach

Psychotherapy That Moves You Forward

Psychotherapy is more than simply talking about what’s difficult. It’s a collaborative, structured, and evidence-informed process designed to help you understand what’s getting in the way and make meaningful changes.

Together, we’ll identify the thoughts, emotions, and patterns of behavior that may be keeping you stuck. Then, we’ll focus on practical strategies and skills you can use between sessions to respond differently to life’s challenges and move toward the changes that matter most to you.

Focused, Goal-Oriented Treatment

We primarily provide short-term psychotherapy, with treatment typically taking place over the course of weeks to months rather than continuing indefinitely. This allows us to stay focused on your goals, track your progress, and adjust as your needs change.

We view psychotherapy much like other healthcare: active treatment is provided when it is needed, with the goal of helping you achieve meaningful and lasting benefits. Our goal isn’t simply to help you feel better in the moment. It’s to help you develop the insight, skills, and strategies you need to create meaningful change—and to know when you’re ready to carry that progress forward on your own.

If we recommend psychotherapy with us following your consultation, you’ll collaborate with us to develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs, goals, and priorities. Therapy sessions may begin weekly or every other week after that.

Your treatment plan is not set in stone. Throughout therapy, we regularly review your progress together, identify what’s working, and adjust the plan as needed to ensure your treatment continues to support your goals.
