Life Transitions: Navigate Change with Intention

When you’re facing a major life change, you may need more than support—you may need a plan.

Divorce. Becoming a parent or facing parenting challenges. Retirement. An unexpected shift in your relationships, health, or circumstances. Life transitions can change your roles, routines, relationships, and sense of what comes next.

You may know that something needs to change but feel uncertain about which direction to take. You may be caught in worry or overthinking, fear of making the wrong decision, or finding that stress is affecting your sleep, health, relationships, or ability to move forward.

Sometimes the challenge is different: the situation itself may not be easily changed, and you may feel as though you have few options.

You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

Transitions and Conditions We Help With

When responding to life changes brings uncertainty, anxiety, and other shifts in the way you think, feel, and respond, we are here to help. We help people facing new parenthood or parenting challenges; divorce or separation, significant changes in important relationships; preparing for retirement; or making substantial health and wellness-related changes.

Therapy That Works

Resilient responding and meaningful progress often require more than insight alone. We’ll help you navigate the transitions you are facing using proven strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy so that you can respond with greater resilience, clarity, and confidence.

What to Expect

We offer targeted interventions to reduce symptoms, strengthen coping, improve stress management, and for you to take advantage of opportunities for learning and growth. Together, we’ll identify your strengths, set practical goals, address barriers, and create a clear, actionable plan for change. It may mean making difficult decisions, by weighing the costs and benefits of different choices, and taking action even when the path forward feels uncomfortable. Outside of sessions you’ll be encouraged to practice new skills, apply what you’re learning to real-life challenges, and build the skills you need to respond more effectively to the demands of your life.
