I work with people who are ready and motivated to start doing things differently – things they want or need to do now but aren’t because of overwhelming stress or anxiety, spirals of overthinking and worry until the opportunity has passed, or feeling uncertain about how to actually get started. I work with adults seeking more effective ways to reduce and manage anxiety/worry, ADHD-related symptoms and impacts, and stress related to work/career and navigating specific life transitions. I help people break out of overthinking, make decisions aligned with their values (rather than fear), and take clear, consistent steps toward goals they’ve been unsure how to begin.

My approach is grounded in research-supported strategies yet tailored to each person and what their specific goals and what matters most to them. I want to understand what is motivating you for change and then help you move toward those things with clarity and confidence. I take seriously the investment you’re making in this process and aim to help you move forward as efficiently and effectively as possible.

I have approximately 15 years of experience in providing brief, research-supported therapies in university counseling, community mental health, and clinical healthcare settings. In my career, my psychotherapy expertise has been in providing various cognitive and behavioral therapies (including CBT) for anxiety, ADHD, depression, sleep disorders, OCD, and posttraumatic stress.

My approach is structured, intentional, and collaborative.  I believe in having a plan that outlines the path forward based on what research says is likely to help, being transparent about what we’re doing and why, and tailoring the plan to move at a pace that respects how challenging change can be. We don’t just talk about problems - we build practical tools, build new skills, and help you follow through in real life. Because insight is helpful, but change is even better.

Clients often describe me as caring, genuine, and straightforward, with a good sense of humor when anxiety—or our brains—get a little ridiculous. My goal is simple: to help you understand what’s going on, figure out what to do about it, and feel confident doing it—so you can build a life that feels meaningful to you and spend more time doing the things you want to be doing. I want to help you gain the clarity, confidence, and tools you need to create lasting change—so therapy becomes something you no longer need but can return to in the future if needed.

If you’re ready for a clear, structured path forward (with accountability and a few well-timed laughs along the way), I’m here to help.

Amanda Reyes, PsyD LP

I work with people who are ready to move beyond coping and toward thriving with greater intention and fulfillment in their lives. Together, we can navigate anxiety in its many forms, ADHD, major life transitions, and the stress of balancing personal and professional roles. I’ve supported individuals through experiences such as divorce, demanding careers, parenting challenges, and burnout in leadership, education, and healthcare.

My approach blends acceptance, curiosity, mutual accountability, and—when it fits—humor. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel both supported and thoughtfully challenged. In our work, I’ll help you reduce anxious overthinking and avoidance, clarify workable options, set values‑aligned goals, and take deliberate action when you’re facing a dilemma.

With more than 24 years of experience across inpatient, forensic, medical, clinical, and private practice settings, I’ve worked with diverse people seeking meaningful change. My areas of expertise span a range of forensic and clinical concerns, including evidence-based treatment for anxiety, ADHD, stress responses, life transitions, perinatal and postpartum anxiety, and sleep and health improvement. I also have extensive experience in psychological assessment, including adult psychological testing, forensic evaluations, and assessments for police and public safety roles. My leadership experience includes consultation, peer education, and clinical oversight.

Clients often describe me as easy to talk to, genuine, thoughtful, caring, and practical. I don’t believe people need to be “fixed.” Instead, I see psychotherapy as an opportunity to understand patterns that may no longer serve you, build effective skills, identify workable choices, and take actions aligned with your values and the life you want to live.

In our work together, I’ll start with an assessment that is balanced and objective and offer you psychotherapy that is practical, effective, and personalized to your unique goals and strengths.  You’ll have the opportunity to reignite your confidence and see that lasting change often begins with strategic, intentional actions.

Together, we’ll build a way forward that feels realistic and sustainable for you.
